Inspired by the hot tub boats that float along the canals of Amsterdam, Victoria Hot Tub Boats was born out of a dream to bring this unique experience to Canada. Victoria is the first location in the country where locals and tourists can float along Victoria’s scenic Gorge Waterway in an actual hot tub.
Invented by the Dutch, these watercraft are the world's first hot tub that you can use to sail into the sunset. With a fleet of two boats that can hold up to 6 people, guests are able to rent each vessel for up to 1.5 hours. Rentals begin at 10:00am with the last departure available at 7:30pm. A thirty-minute orientation is provided before each rental. However, no experience or boating license is required to operate the boat.
Whether you want a fun outing for the family, an intimate date night, or a party with friends, Hot Tub Boat Victoria provides unique ways to customize this private experience to your group. Each rental is exclusive to your group and you are in full command of the boat. The company fully sanitizes each boat and drains the water between rentals.
If you are a visitor to Victoria, this is the perfect way to be the captain of your own tour. Victoria’s Gorge Waterway is steeped in history and marine wildlife with many things to see and experience. You will get to observe life in a real working harbour, enjoy a unique view of Victoria’s first shipyard, a glimpse of historic Point Ellice House, and sail under the Selkirk Trestle Bridge. You can even pause for a break at Banfield Park and take a dip in the waterway where a public swim float rests in the calm waters of the Gorge.
Locals or tourists can enjoy this unique and intimate experience by customizing your Victoria Hot Tub Boat rental with a charcuterie board or adding some Epsom salts or bath bombs to the water. It is an amazing way to celebrate a birthday or to have a romantic date night. Each rental includes a blue tooth speaker so that you can sail along to your favorite tunes. Although alcohol is not permitted, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to consume. In addition, each person is provided with two bottles of water.
Larger groups of friends can rent both boats simultaneously for a special group experience. A minimum of 2 people is required for each rental with prices starting at $65 per person. A $35 environmental conservation fee also applies to each rental. Only participants aged 12 and over are allowed.
